REGULATION UNIT FOR RADIANT FLOOR AND COMBINED HEATING SYSTEMS
The COMBIMIX controller brings the temperature of the fluid in the primary circuit (boiler) to the desired adjusted level in the secondary circuit (radiant panel). COMBIMIX is a modular element that can be connected directly and easily (with the 1” AC 606 swivel nipple) to our manifolds for panel systems mounted on standard 200 mm supports.The versatility of this controller is especially evident when it is used with combined high temperature (radiator systems) and low temperature (radiant floor panel systems) circuit systems. This is the typical example of a residential unit with general radiant floor heating and bathrooms with radiators (towel bar heaters, etc.). To create this system simply connect (with nipple Art. AC 606) to the COMBIMIX inlet, a couple of manifolds with simple radiator deviations (ex. Art. CS 512). The number of high and low temperature derivations is limited only by the max. amount of energy that can be supplied at low temperatures (20KW/h). It is evident that in the case of combined systems it is necessary to use a circulation pump for the high temperature sections, including a bypass unit Art. AC 668 to protect the cir-culator itself.
There are two versions of the COMBIMIX system:
• With fixed point adjustment by means of a thermostatic actuator, with an immersion probe and a temperature range of 20 °C to 60 °C.
• With a flow temperature adjustment which varies based on the thermal load. In this case, it is possible to use the LAGO BASIC electronic adjustment control unit or else a DHC series adjustment system. Both devices offer the possibility of fixed point adjustment using a manual setting, or else modulated adjustment based on the outside temperature. The LAGO BASIC climate control solution must be used in conjunction with the NRV 230 motor (3 point adjustment). Likewise, the DHC solution must be used in conjunction with the TE 3061 thermoelectric actua-tor motorisation system or else with the SRV 24 motor (proportional adjustment 0-10 V).
In this case, the ALC 01 wiring centre can be used, which is capable of handling up to 8 zones independently using an equal number of thermostats. When using DHC series adjustment systems, on the other hand, it is possible to use the WLM2-1BA, which is equipped with a wiring centre alone for controlling 8 zones (expandable up to 14), or else the WLM2-1FS climate control unit with an integrated wiring centre. These devices will cause the pump to stop whenever all of the usage parameters have been satisfied, thereby providing for additional energy savings.
