Multi-Press

Multi∙Press is the new multi-profile press-fitting system available in a complete range, for pipes with diameter 16/2 up to diameter 63/4.5. Developed, tested and guaranteed to be used with 5 different clamp/pressing profiles, B, TH, H, F and U, with multilayer or PEX pipes and in heating and sanitary systems. The Multi∙Press press system assures the end user the highest versatility and flexibility due to the various configurations available.

Solubilised stainless steel sleeves AISI 304.

INSTALLING THE PRESS FITTINGS

Cutting
Cut the multilayer pipe using a shear that does not squash the pipe and make sure that the cut is perpendicular to the pipe axis. Use the correct shears, type AR 11, AR12, AR13 or AR14.
Calibration and countersink
Use the article AR 01 for pipes with a diameter of 16/2, 20/2, 26/3, 32/3, the article AR 02 for pipes with a diameter of 40/3,5 the article AR 03 for pipes with a diameter of 50/4 and the article AR 04 for pipes with a diameter of 63/4,5 to calibrate and chamfer the cut pipe: this operation permit to have the right internal diameter of the pipe and to prevent any movement of the o-ring gaskets from their housing when the pipe is inserted. If there is great resistance when inserting the fitting, this means that calibration and countersinking were not carried out correctly. In this case do not
insist. Calibration and countersinking operations must be repeated, as well as lubricating with water or with the silicon based lubricant. The rubber parts must never be lubricated with mineral oils or greases; the EPDM mix is compatible only with silicone-based lubricants.
Execute the pipe calibration and countersinking with article AR01: use code 500406 for pipes with diameter 16/2, 18/2, 20/2, 26/3 and 32/3, code 500407 for pipes with diameter 40/3,5, code 500408 for pipes with diameter 50/4 and code 500409 for pipes with diameter 63/4,5 or the complete calibrators kit article AR 02 (code 501797).
Inserting the press-fitting
Insert the fitting in the pipe up to the stop point. The correct depth can be seen by the appropriate openings on the orange plastic ring (fig. 1).
Electric press
Pressing is made with the electric press article AR 14, the battery-operated press article AR 15 or the manually operated press article AR 16.
Clamps
The series consists in special steel clamps with a customised pressing profile: AR 10B, AR 10F, AR 10H, AR 10 TH, AR 10U. In fact the Multi∙Press fitting is guaranteed for the use of clamps B, H, TH, F and U.
Pressing
When the clamp is fitted and fixed in the proper press, open the jaws and insert the fitting to be pressed, making sure that the guide collar of the plastic ring is inserted in their internal reference groove for clamps with profile B and TH as shown in drawing or making sure that the clamp fits close on the plastic ring in case of clamps F, H and U. Then use the press. The correct positioning of the pipe on the fitting and also the fitting on the clamps is essential for the correct system functioning.
